MySQL: Connecting to database

In order to be able to access your MySQL database it needs to be created first, if you haven't done this yet, check out how to here.

Go to Website -> Databases to see all the information related to your databases.

Access PHPMyAdmin throguh this address: phpmyadmin.umbler.com and login using the server information, user and password from your database.

In order to be able to connect to a MySQL database remotely, it first needs to have Remote Access allowed on the Control Panel, check out how to do it here.

Next to MySQL Connections click on Add.

Fill in the information for your database:

Connection Name: Usually the name of the database.

Connection Method: Use Standard (TCP/IP)

Now go to the Parameters tab:

Hostname: The host provided in the Control Panel, usually something like mysql###.umbler.com.

Port: Use port 41890.

Username: Database's username.

Password: Click on Store in Vault and inform the database password.

Default Schema: The name of your database.

Click on OK and you should be connected to your database.

Open MySQL Front and click on New...

Fill in the connection info:

Name: A name for your connection.

Host: The connection host, usually something like mysql###.umbler.com.

Port: 41890

Connection Type: Built-in

User: Your database user.

Password: The database password.

Database: The name of the database.
